6:00 PM A cold front moved through Lethbridge about 9:00 this morning and the temperature dropped almost 10 degrees. It is + 22 C at the moment with a low tonight forecast of +13 C.
I was really dragging today and finally had a nice jacuzzi and sleep at about 3 PM. I am now up and ready to begin the day. I spent a couple of hours in the early afternoon playing with iPhoto on the Mac and am now beginning to see how it might be equivalent to the Adobe Photoshop Elements that I had been using on the PC. The organizing capability does appear to be excellent. I have yet to see how easy it is to convert a photo for use on this web site. Here is a photo of the machine I rented that chops the bricks into two pieces.
I used the Export feature in iPhoto to save the image in a reduced size but the final step of specifying the location was either the name of the external hard drive or the desktop. I then had to take the extra step of dragging and dropping the file to the appropriate file folder using the finder. That was both annoying and strange. Anyway, here is a picture of the final result.
We spent a couple of hours going over the material for our health care options once I retire. We are leaning toward staying with Alberta Blue Cross (which is the company that we had while I was at the university) and then supplement that with special travel coverage that we can obtain from the Alberta Motor Association.
