A. Morning Musings

6:45 am The temperature is + 16 C with a high forecast of + 33.

Yesterday was very pleasant. We did some tidying up around the yard and hosed down the patio along the side of the house where the birds had made a bit of a mess. They are eating the berries on the chokecherry tree in the backyard and then depositing them nearby as they fly away. We then set up a new bamboo fountain. I returned some tools to Jim and then the four of us celebrated Tuesday with some nibblies and scotch. That put an end to the plan to visit the model train club in the early evening. Maybe next week.

Now we are off for an early morning walk. We have a meeting at 10 am about retirement details and the lawn needs mowing. We are going to try a chemical to reduce the ant problem near the front sidewalk. With a little luck we will also paint the front door to the garage. At 3 PM we will continue celebrating with our neighbours.

C. Actual/Notes

11:20 am It is a hot day. It is already + 29 C. We signed the appropriate form to indicate which pension option we are picking and obtained information to help us make a decision on health coverage. The lawn is mowed and we are buying some ant killer at the local hardware. A good start to the day.

2:00 PM The household tasks for today are complete. The door frame is painted and the ants have been sprayed. Now to relax and enjoy the glorious day.
