A. Morning Musings
5:05 am Yesterday was very productive. Between the three of us we glued together a broken bed frame, purchased 6 rolls of sod for the front lawn, filled 6 planter boxes with flowers, pruned two trees, unpacked & assembled an electric lawn trimmer, trimmed the lawn, unpacked an electric lawn mower, mowed the lawn, replaced a washer on a hose to fix a leaky connection, bought and installed a frost-free faucet assembly for a second external hose connection, bought another hose and two hose storage cases.
Today we will assemble the bed frame, place the sod on the front lawn, set up the two hoses in their storage cases and watch the hockey game in the evening.
B. Plan
Chores: yard work
History: Complete reading "Medieval Lives"
Literature: Continue reading "The Mrs. Dalloway Reader".
C. Notes
6:50 am I have just completed reading "Medieval Lives" by Terry Jones. It was a delightful romp, irreverent in many places, and a bit of an eye-opener for the places where it refuted much of the common history that I was exposed to in school. Certainly it provides an incentive to find a couple of other sources of British history. I am still debating whether I should make some notes about this book.
