6:00 am The early morning mist in the valley is a great view to begin the day. And a hot cuppa makes a perfect addition. The magpies take on the roll of a rooster. This is one of my favorite spots to begin a day. The other would be our back porch in Jasper where I could see the early morning sun on Mount Edith Cavell.
We have the weekend in front of us, then on Monday we fly to Sydney. Mixed emotions are the norm when the time to leave approaches. It is equal parts regret and anticipation: regret to be leaving, but with many fond memories, and anticipation to be returning home and getting back in a familiar setting with a high speed internet connection and my library of books within arm's reach. Family, friends, neighbours. Prairie and mountains. Restaurants and camping. Six months living out of a suitcase is a bit long. But we are already thinking about returning.
The valley mist is getting stronger and has almost covered the entire valley (6:22 am).
7:10 am The sun is well above the horizon and the mist has almost burned off. The coffee still tastes great and I am about to continue reading the novel "Napoleon". Overall, I have no real plan for the day. We will see what develops.
