A. Morning Musings

5:20 am The rain is bucketing down at the moment. The difference in weather from last year at this time is dramatic. We had almost no rain in February - March and only light showers in April - May. This year, February has had regular rain. Now to see about March.

I bought another book while in Byron Bay yesterday - Alberto Manguel's "A Reading Diary". Basically his idea was to monitor his reading for a year and show how the books he was reading relate to events in his life. I have enjoyed his previous books plus I am doing something analogous with this web site and may get a few good ideas about how to make this more interesting. Two obvious differences are that I am focusing on Learning and I am writing for myself rather than to publish a book. Perhaps I should rethink that last statement.

I received a lovely book on Wombats as well as 3 bottles of fine red wine yesterday as an early birthday gift. We went out to the Pancho Villa restaurant At Lennox Head to celebrate so the day was fine, in spite of the rain.

Maintaining the digital photos is taking up quite a bit of my time. I really like the photo organizer features of Photoshop Elements 4. It would be a lot more time consuming without this software.
