This is easily the coldest day of the winter. A very good day for staying indoors.
I was rummaging through some model train stuff yesterday evening and reminded myself of a few kits that I bought a few years ago. Two of these are wood kits (water tank, grain storage bin), which I have never tried assembling. The first step is to purchase a few tools (sharp blades for my knife, small drills, metal ruler, ...). I also found 2 plastic kits (cabooses) that look like a step up from anything I have tried so far. And 2 resin plastic models (grain trucks) that would be another new type of venture. These are primarily about painting rather than assembly. But today may not be the best day to begin.
