I spent some time this morning at a camera shop discussing my problem of a jerky video file. It turns out that the file is fine, but I need to view it with a smaller version of the file. However when I tried this at home I was not able to see the editing options that they had at the store. I will have to go back and get this sorted out, but it is reassuring to realize that the camera is producing a good file. I also bought a remote controller (an RC-6) so I can activate the shutter while posing for a photo.
Model Trains: Early afternoon - I setout 4 cars and picked up 2 at Mercoal Mines in Black Diamond. Train 600 then completed 4 outer mainline loops travelling east before heading to Pine Ridge where I picked up one boxcar loaded with plywood.
I then had some difficulty with one of the curves on the inner mainline loop and decided to re-lay the curved track at one end. I ended up tryin three different approaches before I finally came up with a satisfactory solution. I then ran 4 loops at a speed of 10 before slowing down as I approached Queenston.
I continue to find time for a little reading of "Lost Souls" by Gogol.
