B. Actual Learning Activities

10:00 am

Mathematics: I spent a couple of hours working on a few problems from section 1.2. While I enjoyed this activity, I am running into some difficulties reconciling my algebraic and geometric interpretations. The algebraic approach is giving the correct answer but my efforts to also provide a geometric picture of the situation is not making sense, or rather it is making sense but is not providing the same answer as the algebraic approach. I am going to give this a break, and come back to it later.

10:00 PM

Model Trains: I had a 2 hour session after dinner when I ran Train 401 from Coaldale to Distillery Row. This involved forming the consist in Coaldale as well as switching moves in Wild Rose and Distillery Row.

I then sat back and did a little reading from "Lost Souls". I am really enjoying this novel.
