B. Actual Learning Activities

11:00 am

I have spent a very enjoyable hour playing with APLX on the Mac. This is a great notational system - one of my favorites. Once I get back up to speed with it, I am hoping I will be able to use it in my Learning of Linear Algebra.

6:30 PM

I have just completed a 2-hour session with my model trains. This was a continuation of Session 1 with Train 700, the Distillery Row Local. The route began with the switching moves at Pine Ridge siding and then proceeded to Queenston where another sequence of switching took place.

8:30 PM

I finished the trip for Train 700. The train continued from Queenston to Wild Rose where 2 cars were set out and then ended at the Coaldale Yard where the diesel locomotive left the consist on Track 9 and then powered down on Track 2.

10:00 PM

The day ended with a little reading from "Lost Souls" by Gogol.
