One (of two) book has arrived from amazon.ca:
- "The Tree of Knowledge" (1992) by Humberto Maturana & Francisco Varela.
- This book was highly referenced in Frotjof Capra's "The Hidden Patterns". I am looking forward to reading it.
4:00 PM Life
Another day with the backyard.
I was unable to contact the fellow who said he could pick up the dirt in our lane. I think he may have gone on holidays.
So we decided to at least move all of the stuff that we had piled in the backyard and take it to the recyling depot just outside of town. It took 2 full loads of lumber and rotting 6x6 beams and assorted other stuff that we wanted to get rid of but now the back yard is spotless.
We also added a coat of cedar stain to the patio fence that is facing the backyard. All that remains is to add a coat to the inside of the fence (tomorrow).
We are now ready to order the stones that will form the pathway between the raised garden beds. I have calculated that we will need 4 cubic yards to cover the ground to a depth of about 3 inches. I will order this tomorrow morning and then see how quickly they can deliver it.
