7:05 am

The temperature is +10 C, with a high predicted of +9 C.

From the Environment Canada website:

Today Rain. Amount 10 to 20 mm. Wind northeast 20 km/h increasing to 40 gusting to 60 this morning. Temperature falling to 9 this morning then steady. Tonight Rain. Amount 10 to 15 mm. Wind northeast 40 km/h gusting to 60. Low 6. Normals Max: 19°C Min: 9°C

We are back to temperatures that are 10 degrees below normal. At least at the moment the rain seems to be holding off and the CN tower is clearly in view.

Today we drive to Kingston. The only trick will be to avoid the Toronto Marathon which will be run through the downtown area later this morning.

12:30 PM

We had a quick drive up to Kingston. The rain was steady and the wind was very strong but the vehicle drove like a charm and we were soon back in familiar territory.

Given the weather, birding, as well as any outdoor activity, looks to be impossible, perhaps for the entire week. So be it.
