I had a look at the error report for Ship It! last night and there were 3 errors. This is the first time that there have been errors listed here since I began. It looks like somehow the file has been corrupted.
I have gone back to a previous version and verified that there are no errors with this version. Now to carefully work my way forward, keeping much better note of what changes I make.
I have made a copy of a folder called shipit3 (which has no errors) and relabeled it as shipit4. I will now work with the shipit4 folder. Then if I suddenly run into problems I can return to shipit3 and make another copy ...

I have slipped into a faster cycle of making changes and checking for errors.
Then all of a sudden I hit some error messages again and it looks like I will have to start over again.
Success, I think.
I have printed out a new set of starting locations as well as a set of switchlists for Session 1.
My efforts at balancing have resulted in a relatively low balancing rating with no error messages (but a few warning messages).
I am willing to live with this for the moment as my priority has been to generate an error-free set of switchlists so I can begin running some operating sessions.
Total time today was about 2 + 2 + 3 hours.
