Daley Train Log

A major milestone!
I finished putting all of the initial data into the Ship It! databases and ran the first session without generating any error messages. I must admit I was a little surprised. There may be a number of problems that I am not yet aware of but at least the program seemed to be able to work with the data I provided.
There are now a number of reports that I have printed out.
The first was a report giving the initial setup locations for my rolling stock.
These all seem to be fine. The passenger cars are in Jasper, the coal cars are in Black Diamond, the refrigerator (reefers) are at Swift Meats in Queenston, and so on.
So far all I have is the above report. I have yet to physically set up my layout with these cars in the appropriate locations.
I also printed out the following 2-page diagnostic report:
I think these are warning messages rather than a serious problem. I think I can solve this by adding a few more records to the Ship It! databases and that I can do this at any time.
I then ran the Ship It! program to generate the first operating session. Once again, it actually seemed to work. There were no error messages, at least that I noticed as the run successfully completed. I now have a large number of additional reports to look at. But at first glance everything seems to be working. One of the reports gives the complete switching list for all trains in Session 1. It is still early, but I am delighted.
