Time for coffee. We have bright blue sky and a forecast for temperatures above 20 C. This looks promising.
There are still two yard tasks in front of me. The big one is to trim the leaves from the branches that I cut down yesterday and cut up the wood for the fireplace. The small one is to dig out the creeping charlie weeds from the front lawn. I also should begin sanding down our patio table as the first step to refinishing it, but that may wait until tomorrow.
Now to select my next book for reading. I recently bought a novel by Ronald Wright. This looks like a good choice. I read his Massey Lecture book called "A Short History of Progress" and thought it was outstanding. Now to try his fiction.
Today will be a good day for barbequing a couple of steaks.

Yard work was the order of the day. But very satisfying. I have the branches from the pruning all cut up and stored for next winter. Much of the creeping charlie weed has been removed from the front lawn.
The day was fantastic: blue sky, no wind and temperatures in the low 20's.
We had a pleasant lunch in the back yard and a great steak (barbequed, of course) for dinner. A very nice cabernet-shiraz (Angoves) topped it off.
