A. Morning Musings

There is a good early morning fog at the moment. More rain in forecast for today and tomorrow. Then we should see a return to sunshine and more seasonable temperatures.

I have selected my next novel: "If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things" by Jon McGregor. This is an English novel, written in 2002.

My recent reading of "The Temptations of Big Bear" and "Indian Fall" have motivated me to read a large (850 pages, almost 2 inches thick) biography of a Plains Cree chief called "Ahtahkakoop". I bought this book while in Regina a few years ago and am now glad that I did. One of the joys of retirement is that I now have the time to read books that looked interesting but which I could not find the time to read.

I am hoping to begin sanding and refinishing our patio furniture. I will bring the table into the garage this morning and if the rain holds off, and if the table looks to be dry, I will begin sanding it down to remove the old finish. Another activity that is long overdue.
