There has been a fair amount of rain overnight and it is still raining this morning. Occasionally there are very heavy falls but that usually only lasts for a few minutes. I have heard the currowongs this morning but missed the kookaburras. There is a special feeling of listening to the rain on the trees, and the roof, first thing in the morning.
One little task this morning is to select a new book for reading.
Learning Category | Planned Activities for Today | Time |
---|---|---|
Literature | Begin morning with a Rumi reading | |
Literature | Begin reading "Wolf Totem" by Jiang Rong | 1 hr |
Mathematics | Reread chaps. 1 & 2 of "Symmetry" | 1 hr |
I appear to have developed a new routine - sleeping in. It has been a few days since I created the daily web page in the morning rather than later in the day. We plan to make a quick trip to Shellys beach for a breakfast and then back to McLeans Ridges for lunch.
My Symmetry book is now covered in a truly gorgeous Japanese blue fabric cover that represents a contrast with the content of the book. The next few days with this book will be very special. A wonderful juxtoposition of mental exercise and tactile sensitivity.
