It is 17 C with a high forecast of 25 C. The total rainfall for Ballina during the last week is 312 mm. (12 inches). That is very close to Lethbridge's annual rainfall.

A. Morning Musings

This is a travel day as we are headed for Brisbane. I hope to visit a few bookstores in the CBD. I have just heard the local kookaburras begin their morning laugh. Wonderful.

B. Actual Learning Activities

A relaxing drive up to Brisbane and no difficulties getting settled in to the hotel.

I purchased 3 books from the Borders bookstore in Brisbane:

• Second Life for Dummies (2008) by Sarah Robbins & Mark Bell.
• Second Life In-World Travel Guide (2008) by Sean Percival.
• Wolf Totem (2008) by Jiang Rong.

I now have a couple of introductory books on Second Life which should help a lot as I begin to play with it. The third book is a Chinese novel that looks interesting.
