A. Morning Musings

There is a Home & Garden Show on at the Lethbridge Show Grounds today. It is always fun to see what is on display. The potentella shrubs need to be cut back before they begin to show new growth.

I would like to skim read the McFarland book and see if there are a few good ideas in it that I might use in the tutorial that I am scheduled to give at AusWeb.

What with one thing and another we missed going to the Home & Garen Show. But I did trim the potentella shrubs back.

I initially found this a difficult book. The style of using pronouns to describe what a character was thinking or doing and having the reader determine who was actually doing the narration was very effective. But there were often big jumps to totally new characters that made the overall patchwork difficult to follow. Once I got the hang of it though I really liked it.

I also liked the ending. Very realistic, and unexpected.

I am always delighted to read a book that is totally unlike anything else I have read. This is such a book.
