A. Morning Musings

It is beginning to warm up. There is a light snow falling at the moment.

We will venture out today. I believe both a fancy brunch at the Macdonald Hotel as well as a quick stop at a hardware store for a small Allan screwdriver are planned.

B. Actual Learning Activities

8:00 am

I just finished reading (in "The Golden Notebook") a 30-page description of a day in the life on Anna. Then I read a short single paragraph of the same day. The contrast is striking. The 30 pages are absorbing and rich with detail, story, narrative. The paragraph is more like the way I write these web pages. I may be able to write a clear memo but I am not a writer.
