I have completed scanning my mathematics pages from the last two days. It took a few tries to get the appropriate settings, but I think I have it under control now.
I plan to continue my "essay" activities this morning by purchasing one or two local papers and gleaning the important information from them about the bombing in Karachi yesterday. I also hope to visit a nearby internet cafe and see what information I can find on the web. I still need to classify this activity. The choices appear to be Philosophy or Literature. I am leaning toward Philosophy as the deep level of the content will be an examination of the underlying ethics of the event.

We went for a walk up seven mile beach and then went over the the heathland. Very quickly we saw two ground birds which we identified from the photos as a Brown Quail (a new lifer). We saw 4 new birds for 2007, bringing our total to 83 for this trip. We saw two more new lifers: a Striped Honeyeater and a Horsefield's Bronze-Cuckoo. This brings our total for Australia to 174. We saw numerous Rainbow Bee-eaters and met a fellow who explained to us that they nest in burrows under ground. We continue to learn.

Any day that we see a new lifer is special, and to see more than one in the same day is very special.
