I finally was able to take a few photos of an orange sunrise. The trick is to have a few clouds at the right elevation above the horizon.

We are back from a bird watching trip to Flat Rock beach. I was able to obtain some clear photos of the birds using my monopod but there was little variety among the birds: primarily Crested Terns, a few Ruddy Turnstones. Using the photos I was also able to identify a few White-fronted Terns.
