This definitely counts as sleeping in. The first morning where I failed to see the sun rise.
I now have a cuppa in hand. My heart should start beating within the next half hour.

It is difficult to capture in words the simple pleasure of enjoying each day here.
We went to Shelly Beach for brunch with a good friend. We did not see any whales, but we did see a Brown Honeyeater, a Red-backed Fairy-Wren and a Superb Fairy-Wren. The food was delicious - corn fritters and a cappucino at the Shelly Cafe -looking out over the ocean.
Then we went into Ballina for another cappucino and then home to watch the para-sailers on their surf boards from our balcony -while sipping on a very nice Shiraz. Life is so good as to be embarrassing.
I have begun re-reading The Untouchable by John Banville. The first 20 pages are a superb beginning to a story about a British spy who has just been denounced as a traitor. Now to see if I can stay with the story and the superb use of language.
