I do not have Internet access at the moment.
It is still dark outside. There is a solid cloud bank offshore at the moment. I am not sure if that means it will remain relatively dark for awhile longer this morning, or if it means there will be a gorgeous sunrise. Intuitively, I think the best sunrises will be when there are no clouds on the horizon but some a short distance above the horizon. We shall see.
The Gloria Jean coffee is almost ready for drinking.
This is the first morning where I begin with a new page for this web site. I still have some tidying up to do with the pages for the last 4 days. Primarily this is one of updating the links but it will also involve adding a few images.
Immediate | Description | Time |

I have updated all of the pages since September 15 and am now ready to face the day. There really wasn't much of a sunrise with the cloud bank in the way, but it still was light by 5:30 am.
We watched more Australasian Gannets from our balcony this morning. We have also heard a Laughing Kookaburra, and have seen a number of Australian Magpies (#9) and Noisy Miners (#10).
We had a very pleasant visit this afternoon from one of our friends that goes back to 1978! It is always a special feeling when we get together again.
This was a good day for Proust. Not many people ever say that. I read over a hundred pages and am now at the 400 page mark in "The Captive". There is about another 150 pages to go for this volume. More importantly, I located my web files from two years ago when I last read a volume of this series and have added a new section for "The Captive". I am almost finished bringing my notes up to date with where I am presently reading.
