C. Actual Learning Activities

7:00 am

Instead of beginning the morning with some math activities, I decide to sit down with a cuppa and continue reading "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius". It is a wild book, and fascinating. Eggers is successful in pulling off the reality of being a young idealistic but unrealistic man of the early 1990's. There is a gorgeous mix of pathos and vibrancy, and honesty, in the telling. I am enjoying this voyeuristic glimpse into the life of another person. It is certainly not dull. Weird, yes, but dull, no.

Yard duty had taken most of the day, but it has been satisfying. The temperature at the moment is +30. My guess is this will be the last time we hit +30 C this year.
