I have been playing around with Mathematica (in Windows xp) and have figured out how to save my work (both as a Mathematica file as well as a Web page) within my Journals website folder that is accessible using Dreamweaver in OS X. The trick is to save it in an area called Parallels Shared Folders which then opens up the file menu for all OS X files. Very cool.
Here is a link to the Mathematica files for the Week 1a material. I now need to add a new column to the Schedule table for learning calculus.
I have also added a Mathematica session from August 11 (Week 1b material), now that I have figured out how to save and link them to this web site.
I am now playing catch-up on two different levels. One is to create a set of notes using the 11 sub-headings that I have identified. The second is to create a Mathematica notebook for each session. The overall learning sequence now consists of three distinct activities:
1. Attempt all of the problems for a section from the Kelley book.
2. Make a set of self-study notes based on Kelley plus a paragraph on Dyer.
3. Make a Mathematica Notebook for this section.
I am now on material scheduled for week 9a on the Kelley book, week 4b on the self-study notes, and week 2a for the Mathematica Notebooks. The next step is to get the Mathematica Notebooks in synchrony with the self-study notes. Then I need to get both of these up to date with my work on the Kelley book.
Now to return to Mathematica and see if I can create a Notebook for week 2a.
