Undergraduate Student Positions

Postdoctoral Fellow Positions

• An opening for a post-doctoral position is available for July 1, 2011. The project is sponsered by Alberta Ingenuity and involves organic synthesis and mechanistic inorganic/organometallic chemistry. Strong experience in air-sensitive chemical manipulation and routine characterization techniques (NMR, IR, GC-MS, etc.) is essential. Expertise in X-ray crystallography would be considered an asset. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field with a record of productivity. Ideal candidates are motivated, creative researchers looking for a stimulating environment to develop skills and experience relating to homogeneous organometallic catalysis. Strong communication skills (written and spoken) are essential. awards. The initial appointment will be for one year. The salary will be $40,000 CAD (current NSERC PDF rate). Interested candidates should send a cover letter and curriculum vitae and be prepared to submit at least 2 letters of recommendation upon request.

• Additional post-doctoral positions are also available immediately, but are limited to holders of post-doctoral Fellowships or other post-doctoral awards. I will gladly support Canadian and international applicants for Alberta Ingenuity or NSERC fellowships.
