"The Ground Beneath Her Feet": chap. 8 The Decisive Moment.

This chapter concludes the "Indian" chapters. The three protagonists have all left India and the book is about to enter a new phase with a new tone, since they now are all young adults with no remaining connections to their earlier lives.

The chapter has no "quotations" for this site, but the overwhelming sense I had while reading this chapter was that of reading an autobiographical text.
