I purchased two books while in Calgary today.
- The Psychology of the Internet (1999) by Patricia Wallace.
- The Tao of Zen (1994) by Ray Grigg.
The basic thesis of the latter book is that Zen Buddhism is an oxymoron, that Zen has strong connections with Tao and Chinese philosophy, but not with Buddhism, nor with religion. This promises to be an interesting book.
As before, I will categorize reading about Buddhism (and Zen) as "Japanese history".
