9 pm Feb. 29 I finally am able to find time to update a couple of pages. Yesterday I took the truck in to get a repair to the windshield. I took a book along (just in case) and found I had about an hour to read while they made the repairs.

Another decision point for this web site. The book I was reading is called "Code and Other Laws of Cyberspace" by Lawrence Lessig. The decision point has to do with whether I should include this in this web site. So far I have tended to shy away from readings that are close to my main professional interests. The rationale was to use this web site for materials that are genuinely new to me. However this criteria does permit the inclusion of such books, since the detail of the issues covered is both new and fascinating and deserves to be carefully summarized.

This also means that I now have four distinct threads on the go. Although this is not unusual for me, it does mean that I need to consider a better method of keeping track of each thread. Having mulled it over for a bit, I am going to try using color patches on the calendar to identify the threads. I also will experiment with colored arrows to permit easy movement along a thread.

Basically the hour for this day was spent reading. Creating of this page and the one for February 29th was the hour activity for the 29th.
