The online purchasing of the software was
smooth and I was operational in just a few minutes. I spent
about an hour going through two boxes of old LPs and made a
first cut at deciding which LPs should be transferred to CD.
I then "ripped" the music from two LPs and stored the results
in a file folder as a set of WAV files.
The next step is to make a decision on the appropriate software
for cleaning up the background noise.
Overall, this has been an exciting first step. I am new to
the idea of ripping and burning CDs, but it seems fairly straight
forward once you become familiar with it. I am hoping to soon
hear some music that I have not heard for almost 20 years,
some of which I had totally forgotten about. |
