  • Stylesheet Designer online tutorial

6:00 am

I have the software open and the printed tutorial notes in front of me. I do not yet know how to center the heading - perhaps I will see a way to do that this morning.

  • Stylesheet Designer online tutorial
  • With both XMLSPY and Stylesheet Designer open, I made a change to the XML file. However the only way I could see this change in Designer was to close and then open Designer.
  • I have just tried opening Stylevision. This appears to be the 'parent' software that handles both XMLSPY and Stylesheet Designer.
  • I have now opened XMLspy as well and will complete the amportal file.
  • Rats! After inputting all of the URIs for the News and UofL, I had an unexpected error for XMLspy and lost all of my work.
  • The method for making sure that the HTML view in Designer is using the latest version of the XML file is described differently on page 1 of the Designer tutorial. I am not sure if I am following this properly.
  • Perfect. The important point is to begin by opening Stylevision! This gives me access to both XMLSPY and Stylesheet Designer.
  • As near as I can tell, I only need to purchase Stylevision (XMLSPY is embedded within it). I will be testing this tomorrow.

Reminder: each "Learning" session has a new web page.
