I managed to totally confuse myself later yesterday. I now understand that I do not want to place the images in either the xml file nor the schema - they will be inserted in the CSS file.

However I have some serious editing to do to recover the structure I had before I went for coffee.

The first task is to create a schema file (not the XML file that will contain the data)

I have created both a schema file and an XML file. They are both well-formed, but there is a real problem with the correspondence between them. I cannot add a link without getting a message that it is invalid.

Time to see if I can talk to Ron.
