Tuesday October 10, 2006 6:30 am Jasper Sunrise 8:09 Sunset 19:10 Hours of daylight: 11:01

A. Morning Musings

6:30 am It is still dark outside. It is +4 C at the moment. The forecast is for a high of + 14 C with some cloud. This is a better forecast than what we were seeing last night. There is rain forecast for Banff later today so we will still aim for Lethbridge today. Hopefully the cloud cover will remain high while we are on the Jasper-Banff highway.

Snow Dome glacier
Mt. Athabasca
Snow at Bow pass
Peyto Lake
Crowfoot glacier

We saw a Brown Creeper while on the path to Peyto Lake lookout. This is a new lifer for us. It is an added incentive to get my data base for North American birds up to date.
