A. Morning Musings

5:50 am I have my coffee ready. The weather is remaining cool and damp. I think the rain may be over but the temperatures are still in the low single digits. The good news is the digits still have a + symbol in front of them.

I have three types of activities in front of me:

  • reading
  • clerical (updating North American bird database, adding keywords to iPhoto database)
  • creative (mind map for "Science and the Akashic Field")

The clerical and creative activities both have a stronger sense of accomplishment attached to them. I will have a look at the bird data base and see if i can get that up to date.

C. Actual/Notes

6:35 am I compared the notes for bird watching in the notebook with the records in my database and was able to add 1 bird to my files. This was an Evening Grosbeak that we positively identified at Post Falls, Idaho while on a weekend trip to Spokane. It also was a new lifer, bringing our total to 81.

12:00 noon I am making good progress on both the iPhoto files (adding keywords, deleting images, enlarging bird images) and the Filemaker Pro database for North American birds. I now know, for example, that as of July 9, 2006 we have a total of 82 North American lifers and have seen 13 different species in 2006 (2 of them lifers).
