A. Morning Musings
6:40 am The sky is clear with an early morning temperature of + 12 and a forecast high of + 22.
We went for a walk in the coulee yesterday morning and saw the following birds: Cedar Waxwing, Grey Catbird, Eastern Kingbird, American Kestrel, European Starling, American Robin, Magpie, Flicker and a Raven. This was our first bird watching outing since returning from Australia. I took a few photos but have yet to review them.
I have not been able to find a store that sells wire suitable for use on my model train layout. We plan to be in Calgary this Saturday so I may try a couple of the hobby stores there. My model train layout has all of the ground cover in place.
Now for today. I hope to contact the lawyers about the financial statement that will go out to all beneficiaries. I also want to check with the financial person about a couple of pension receipts.
I will try to rent a tool for breaking up the cement sidewalk in our front yard. And I will contact an RV shop about bringing our 5th wheel in for a check-up.

C. Actual/Notes
9:15 PM We worked on breaking up the sidewalk and taking the pieces to a clean-fill dump near Lethbridge from 9 am until 3 PM, and completed the job. I can now add a jack-hammer to my list of skills. The next task is to visit a company that sells patio stones to see what is available and what it costs. I also need to compute an estimate for the amount of sand I need to prepare the ground. I may need to rent a tool for cutting cement to obtain a clean straight edge where the sidewalk will meet the side of the driveway.
I hope to hear from the lawyer about the estate and executor's statement. I must remember to phone the accountant and see what he requires about the final pension statement.
The remaining 3 boxes of books arrived today from Australia. I am not at all sure where I will put them. And a shipment of 4 more books from Chapters arrived (1 for me - a biography of Richard Burton).
I must remember to order volume 3 of "The Story of the Stone" by Cao Xuegen.
