A. Morning Musings

6:20 am It is still dark outside but the currowongs are making their early morning song. Top priority today is to add a few images to this week's pages.

B. Plan

Chores:

Mathematics:Read section 1.4 of "Calculus".

Technology:

C. Actual

6:20 am Begin work on adding images to this week's pages. This is working smoothly this morning. The key is to remember to use the Export feature in the File menu for Photoshop Elements 4. I have completed images for March 4 and March 7. Now for a brisk beach walk. 7:00 am

4:00 PM We are back from a nice trip to Byron Bay where we went throught the Palm Tree forest and climbed the lookout at the Pass. On the way home we stopped at Lennox Head for an ice cream.

We had lunch at one of the coffee shops and then I found the new bookstore/coffee shop where I purchased the following 10 books:

  • The President of Good and Evil by Peter Singer.
    • I like Peter Singer's writing and am sure this will be a damning indictment of the inconsistencies of Bush's policies.
  • The Hungry Tide by Amitav Ghosh
  • The Line of Beauty by Alan Hollinghurst
  • The Tattooed Girl by Joyce Carol Oates
    • The above three books were all on a special sale table for $8.95 each.
  • Easter Island by Jennifer Vanberbes
  • The Penguin Dictionary of Mathematics
  • My Forbidden Face by Latifa
    • The above three books were on a special table for 3 for $20.
  • Wake Your Mind Up by The Mind Gym
    • I noticed this on a shelf a couple of months ago but haven't seen it since.
  • Give Me Time by The Mind Gym
    • This is a second book by the same group. I seized the opportunity.
  • Persian Fire by Tom Holland
    • A history of the early Persian empire.

7:30 PM I begin reading Peter Singer's "The President of Good & Evil". (chaps. 1 - 2)
