Sunday January 15, 2006 6:10 am Ballina NSW A. Morning Musings 6:10 am Sunday. I finally put these pages on a web server. The addition of the images definitely adds to the sense of the day. Phyllis had a look at the page for Saturday and made the comment that while it may be a good page for me, it would likely be confusing to anyone else looking at it as much of the language would not be that meaningful to someone who is not aware of exactly what I am trying to do. It was a fair comment. Let me try to rectify matters. I will try creating an Introduction page that describes the intent and structure of this Web site. 6:45 am B. Plan 6:45 am Sunday is a day to not have a plan. 6:50 am C. Actual 6:50 am No email. Web: Mostly sunny. 50 % chance of light showers (1 - 5 mm) for the coast. High of 30 (32 in Lismore). Exercise. We are about to leave for our morning beach walk to Shelly beach. We were gone over two hours. This was also the first time we took our binoculars to see if we could see some birds close-up. It certainly paid off. We saw a number of Red-backed Fairy-wrens, Superb Fairy-wrens as well as a Rainbow Bee-eater. This latter was a lifer. That brings our total to 101 for Australia. The entire morning was relaxed and successful. Here is an picture of a Superb Fairy-wren on a car mirror. This was the first Superb Fairy-wren that we have seen in the Northern Rivers area. 9:10 am 9:30 am Breakfast was an opportunity to finish off the Old-Style English sausage. We also had a fresh cup of coffee. 10:30 am 10:30 am Technology. I began work on creating an Introduction web page for this web site. Finished at noon. Now to re-upload this revised web site to the server. 12:30 PM 6:00 PM Cricket. What can I say? I just settled in and watched the first half of a one-day match between Australia and South Africa. 6:05 PM 8:45 PM We are back from the walk - saw a few dolphin fins on the way back. Have completed my tummy exercises for the day. Now to complete my notes for chapter 11. 9:10 PM D. Reflection 9:10 PM A quiet and satisfying day. Even though there were no explicit goals, we completed two walks and I remembered to do both a morning and evening tummy crunch. I completed setting up and posting the web site for these journal entries and I read and made notes for two more chapters of "The Story of the Stone". And we saw one new bird, the Rainbow Bee-eater. 9:15 PM |
