10:00 am Geocaching
With only a few caches left to look for, and with the weather holding, I made a quick trip out to one at Henderson Lake. There is snow cover on the ground which adds a level of difficulty to the search if the hide is on the ground. This turned out to be on the ground but I thought it was worth a try and I was right.

As I began my search I spotted a golf ball sitting on a spruce tree branch about 4 feet off the ground. The coordinates suggested the cache was about 10 feet from the tree and I soon made the find after scraping away some snow in a potential hiding place.
1:30 PM Science
I have read, and underlined, the next two chapters (i.e. 6 & 7) of "The Tree of Knowledge". Although this is considered to be an introductory book, it does a fine job of presenting a few key concepts very clearly. These two chapters describe the basic structure of the nervous systems of all living systems on the planet. I am looking forward to preparing an extension to my cognitive map diagram but want to leave this for tomorrow. I find that after about 1 to 2 hours I need to change topics. I also find the review on the following day to be an excellent time to consolidate what I read the previous day.
8:00 PM Literature
I have begun reading "1Q84" by Haruki Murakami. Right from the outset, it captures me. What is going on?
