10:00 am Literature
I finished reading "Alone in the Classroom". One of the best novels I have read, ever. She reminds me a bit of Alice Munro - understated but real.
7:00 PM Science
I have begun reading Lynn Margulis's "Microcosmos", written in 1986. This is a direct result of reading Fritjof Capra's "The Hidden Connections" earlier this year.
9:00 PM Puzzles
I played a few more games of Igowin Tutor and then received a message saying I should purchase ($2.99) the app Igowin which is capable of playing much more advanced games.
I downloaded and played a couple of games and am now at the rank of 23 Kyu. This is already higher than I thought I could play at. I am certain that I will soon hit my real level and then I will need to study some to continue to improve. It is also worth noting that this is a 9x9 board. The game is much more intricate on a 13x13 board, and the real game is played on a 19x19 board. But I am fascinated by the strategy involved!
