8:00 am Technology

I decided to try playing around with a few options in an effort to solve my Dreamweaver problem. I first tried using the Disk Utility to repair a few permission problems but this didn't make any difference. I then tried creating a new server connection. This worked! I still have no idea what the original problem was but this at least solved the problem. I am now using this new server file (which has all the same information as the previous file) and it seems to be working fine.

2:00 PM

I completed walking my coulee circuit this afternoon - this after a 90 minute walk on the level early this morning. I am a long way from being in shape, but this is a beginning.

8:30 PM Model Trains

I continue to carry out operational runs of my trains according to the Session 1 reports produced by the software program Ship It!. Today I completed the final stage of Train #600, a Local running east from Prairie Dog to Coaldale. There was a fair amount of switching within the Coaldale Yard as I uncoupled the diesel locomotive from the consist and then returned it to the stall off the turntable. The consist was then moved to a spare track in the Coaldale Yard.

Then later in the day I ran Train #201, the Black Zephyr from Coaldale to Black Diamond. I ran into some problems with a few derailments while the train was completing its outer mainline circuits. As a result it seemed to scramble some of the settings in the DCC system and thus caused a short on the reversing loop maneuver. This took awhile to sort out and get reset. I finally had everything working again and the train is now safely parked in the Black Diamond yard.

I am continuing to find time in the early evening for a little reading from "Champlain's Dream".
