I received an email from Adobe late this morning suggesting another approach to my Dreamweaver problem. I tried it but it failed to solve the problem I am having with it dropping information related to my connection with the remote server.

I then decided to run a check on my hard drive using the disk utility that comes with OS X. It indicated that there were a number of problems. I then used the original OS X DVD to start up the computer and used the disk utility on the DVD to fix the problems on the computer's hard drive. This worked fine. So the hard drive is now working. But when I tried running Dreamweaver the original problem was still there.
