The coffee is on the boil. We will take our time getting mobile this morning. From initial appearances it seems that the snow fall was relatively light. But we will try to obtain additional information on road conditions between here and Banff before venturing south.
The wireless signal in our room was not working last night but it is now fine. I have logged the 4 geocache finds from yesterday and am now ready for today.
I will wait until we are home before updating my eBird observations. I want to do a little more work comparing my photos with various field books and web sites before submitting my reports.

We have now had a look at the AMA cameras and web sites and have decided to drive east to Edmonton. The area near Banff and Canmore looks horrific for driving and the mountain passes will likely be even worse. Winter has returned with a vengeance.
Here are 3 photos taken as we were leaving town.

We are back home in Lethbridge. By alternating drivers we were able to have a steady, uneventful, trip. Road conditions were generally excellent but we did experience some snow on the road near Hinton. Otherwise there was no evidence of snow or even rain on the trip. But the roads in the mountain area near Banff and Canmore were closed for much of the day.
