C. Actual Learning Activities

5:00 PM

We had a good drive up to Stony Plain where we dropped off our 5th wheel. While at the farm we happened to see a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, another "lifer". Strange how this works. We were simply relaxing in front of the house when it flew into a nearby tree. The odds of such an occurrence go up when we are in an area of the province that we have not spent much time birding, but the odds go down as we continue to see new "lifers", leaving fewer to see in the future. But the 7th day of the 7th month of 2007 was indeed lucky for us.
