Australian Headline: (from The Australian): Jakarta Governor Happy With Iemma Apology

Jakarta Governor Sutiyoso has declared an apology from NSW Premier Morris Iemma as "more than I need" after this week's incident in a Sydney hotel in which NSW police entered his room. The police were attempting to serve him a subpoena to appear at the inquest into the killing of one of the Balibo newsmen in East Timor in 1975. The small games that little boys play and that the media love.

B. Actual/Notes

6:10 am Today will be a travel day as we head north to Edmonton, with a quick stop in Three Hills to visit a friend.

9:00 PM We stopped off at the Narrows near Mirror on our way to Edmonton. This is a marshy area but we saw a Spruce Grouse in the camping area and an American Bittern after we left the campground and drove a hundred yards to the end of the road. Later than evening we saw some Chipping Sparrows while on our walk around the neighborhood. The American Bittern was a Canadian lifer for us (#146).
