A. Morning Musings

6:30 am It is +5 C with a high forecast of +24 C.

Here are the news.

CBC Headline: Arctic Sea Ice Melting Faster Than Most Scientists Project: Study

The rate is about three times as fast as many scientists have predicted. This is part of the growing literature as the scientific community on global warming begins to make the news on a regular basis.

Canadian Headline: see above

Australian Headline: (from The Australian): Iraq's al' Qa'ida head Killed

The leader of the Iraqi al' Qa'ida has been reportedly been killed in an internal dispute among the insurgents. Once again, it seems that any story about Iraq makes the headlines.
