Saturday March 3, 2007 A Three Week Visit to the Yucatan in Mexico - Day 20

We went for a drive along the "Convent Route" today. The villages were very small but the various convents ceertainly showed the Spanish influence after 1500. Along the way we stopped off to see more Mayan ruins at Mayapan. This was a surprising site. One of the best we have seen. A perfect way to celebrate my birthday.
