Radarsat SOAR: Science and Operational Applications Research mid-term meeting. Sponsored by CSA and MDA.

IRM: Integrated Resource Management meeting. NCE funded Geomatics initiative (2009).

IPY Follow-on: The 2008 Canadian Symposium on Remote Sensing was held in Whitehorse Yukon as part of the International Polar Year, a partnered event with the International Circumpolar Remote Sensing Symposium. Special Sessions on Polar Remote Sensing with an emphasis on Radarsat are planned at CSRS Lethbridge'09, building on outcomes from new partnerships fostered last year.

SpecNET: International SpecNET Meeting

Special Sessions:

A variety of Special and Invited Paper sessions are confirmed and being planned on topics such as hyperspectral, LiDAR, RADAR, data fusion, modeling, disaster/hazard mapping, Polar regions etc.
