How to signup for Turnitin

We will be using Turnitin (http://www.turnitin.com/) as our essay management software. Turnitin allows you to submit and received corrected essays electronically. It also contains plagiarism detection software. To submit essays to Turnitin, you must first register with the system and sign up for our class.

If you have never used Turnitin before (in any school, college, or university):

1. Point your browser at http://www.turnitin.com/

#Select the link for “New User” in the top right corner (under the box labelled “Email address”)

1. On the next page scroll down to the section labelled “New Students Start Here”
2. Select the link “Create a user profile”. The class ID and password for this class are found in our Moodle area (and have been distributed by email).
3. Fill in the required information on the next page, accept the conditions, and you will be redirected to our class page.

If you have used Turnitin before at any school, college, or university:

1. Point your browser at http://www.turnitin.com/
2. Login using the email address and password you use for this account.
3. When you come to your account home page, select “enroll in a class”
4. On the next page, use the class ID and password found in our Moodle area.
