Action | Shui Rong is pleased with his first meeting with Bao-yu and hopes they will meet again. While the funeral procession was in the countryside Xi-feng asked Bao-yu to join her (so she could keep track of him) and Bao-yu asked Qin Zhong to join him. The three of them visit a farm to pay a debt and then arrange to spend the evening at the Wheatcake Priory. Eurgesia visits Xi-feng and persuades her to intervene in a local dispute (and earn a fee by doing so). Qin Zhong forces his attentions on Sapientia and is caught in the act by Bao-yu. Xi-feng decides to take on the problem that Eurgesia mentioned and she and the two boys then stay for a second day |
Comment | Many of the chapters introduce new characters, who are then never heard of again. Keeping these notes helps me to separate out the recurring ones from the one-timers. |
