The Coburn Wall of Shame |
For years I’ve promised those that have worked in my lab that I would establish a “wall of shame”...this is the realisation of that threat. Those that work in my lab are expected to work hard and play hard. Sometimes this results in pictures that would be best left on the camera—but I’ve got a sense of humour and find these gems and keep them because I find that sort of thing fun.
|
Don Iwanicka: Don’s a computer guy—can you tell. He dresses for success when in the field, but the dress is not always successful. “What Not To Wear” has been notified that Don needs a complete make over.
Don was with the lab for longer than I can remember. He was a keen undergraduate student that was involved in developing our airborne remote sensing system. His interests include: The Simpsons, good foot ware, Edmonton Oilers, and we’ll assume walks on the beach. |
Nicole Seitz: It was hard to take a bad picture of Nicole—but her she is about to take off on her very first flight ever. She had never been in a plane, then I spoiled the entire event by making her run the camera system during her first flight. She’s now at the UofS pursuing a master’s degree. |
Paul Thompson: Paul’s taking some field spectra of dead plants—sort of sums it up in a picture I would say. |
Davin Johnson and Kevin Nakonechny: I only helped employ Kevin...Davin was Dr. Matt Letts’ responsibility. I think the picture sort of explains the Dumb and Dumber attitude of these two local yokels. |
Just to be fair—This is me. I’ve got the base ring of the first Goniometer (ULGS1) over my shoulder. I’m sure there are others, but this is my wall, so I’ll control what goes up. |
Steve Myshak: Steve’s working on his Japanese Zen garden with parts from the Goniometer! This was actually a spectral evaluation of sand. |
